Basically just take your time put the shelf on, get a level, and take it off and adjust where needed. Since the back of the bracket can be flexible with enough pressure from the screws it can make the poles/rods bend upward/downward. Everything was just sitting on top of my table and it was starting to get cluttered. ![]() I’ve had my malm table for a while now but I’ve been wanting shelves for a while. I didn't and just put the shelves on and started putting stuff on them and ended up with some ends higher or lower than the other end on the shelf. Makeup Storage and Organization: Ikea Lack Shelf Unit & Malm dressing table Hi guys I wanted to share my updated makeup storage with you guys. One piece of advice I would give is don't over tighten the brackets down at first. Oh and I just took the screws that came with it and went to Lowes and had them find me some just like it so I had extra. It works pretty well, though I did great a drill bit in the process, I didn't really have bits designed for metal. This is the approach that he took to create a custom sized LACK shelf. His plan was to remove the end cap from the shelf, cut the shelf to size and then reattach the end cap. I didn't want a lot of alligator clips in the wall so what I did is line up as many of the premade holes as I could with studs, then drilled in my own holes in the bracket where there were studs in the wall but no premade holes lined up. 1 Custom sized LACK shelves (with end cap reattached) Brian wanted an IKEA LACK shelf to fit a space in the hallway that was 170cm wide but the nearest size was 190cm. There's several sets of 2 holes along it. The brackets have a lot of holes in them but not all are too the American standard of stud placement. They can be a bit of a pain to work with and get installed but the bracket is sufficient. ago IKEA Lack shelf improvement After scouring the internet for a way to decrease the wobbling of the Lack shelf, I finally read that wrapping the arms of the bracket with a few layers of duct tape helps and it DID. They were also really easy to put together.I have 3 installed in my office. ![]() They were $49.99 each which I though was a good price since other shelves I looked at we’re way more expensive and they were smaller. Does anyone have any recommendations for the screws I should use My wall is primarily drywall. Hackers Help Reinforcing LACK shelf without impacting the visual design I’m planning to install a LACK shelf (43 1/4 / 110 cm) on a drywall wall but this size is notorious for the support brackets failing. I love how simple they are and also that they match my table really well. Has anyone have experience installing an IKEA Lack shelf I bought one of the shelves thinking it would be simple to install as a floating shelf, but since I'm installing it over my desk I want to be sure it won't come loose and fall. I purchased two of the lack shelf units from Ikea and I love them!! They also have them available in black and red. Also makeup is expensive! There’s no reason it shouldn’t be multi-purpose and serve as décor as well! ![]() Details > Choose color White How to get it Delivery Enter your ZIP code for delivery availability In store Check in-store stock Add to bag A tight space or an unused wall This shelf almost always fits. I didn’t want to get drawers because I knew if I put my stuff in there I’d never use it (outta sight, outta mind) and also they’d eventually get messy, I know myself (lol). In the fall of 1995, Gruwell gave each of her students a bag full of new books and had them make a toast for change. Writing journals became a solace for many of the students, and because the journals were shared anonymously, teenagers who once refused to speak to someone of a different race became like a family. She also had the students read books written by and about other teenagers in times of war, such as The Diary of a Young Girl, Zlata's Diary and Night. ![]() But Gruwell persevered and reached her students by asking them to keep journals and make movies of their lives, and by relating the family feud in Romeo and Juliet to a gang war. Gruwell told her students that it was drawings like that which led to the Holocaust. However, a few months into the school year, one of her other students passed a note depicting Sharaud (an African American) with large lips.
